Hello Aritzia and welcome to my blog. My name is Heather Rose and this is a little bit about me, what inspires me and basically what makes me tick.
My friends often refer to me as The Red-Headed Japanese Girl. I just came from a year-long work internship in Japan. Sadly it was cut short because of the recent devastation suffered. However I learned a lot while I was there. And I definitely absorbed a lot of Japanese culture, especially their sense of fashion. They have such a different fashion sense than we do! Their colour palate, lines and flow are beautiful and very feminine and I really related to it. They have an appreciation of nature that is disappearing here.
I have always had a love of nature. I grew up on the family farm in Northern Alberta. For 18 years I looked out my bedroom window and saw wheat fields and green trees on the horizon. As a result I have a deep appreciation of the grace of nature and its always inspired me in my designs.
I love to travel. There are few things that move me more than seeing a new country and meeting the people there. I have a love for meeting new challenges, making new friends and learning new languages. But instead of me telling you about it I felt it would be better to show you.
My hobby is ballroom dancing. I love the feeling of sweeping across the floor. Whether I'm with a partner or just dancing in my living room by myself. There is nothing that can compete with the rush of exhilaration you get from going out onto the dance floor and trying a new move. My love of dancing grew from my passion for old musicals. Hope you enjoyed getting to know me!
